Grading: Students will be graded on a total points system.
Student Expectations:
Know that your job is to learn. Come to class with necessary materials: textbook, folder, notebook (with completed work), pencil or blue/black pen (preferably erasable), correcting pen (red, green, purple-just not blue or black),
Spend a reasonable amount of time attempting all work and have it completed on time
Be an active participant in class and in small groups
Take responsibility for missed work (read the lesson; access a study buddy for help; complete the work within the allotted make-up time; arrange a time to make up work, get help, or make-up a test; complete work BEFORE a planned absence.
Be respectful of others-their time to learn and their belongings
Homework:
Practice makes perfect. Homework is assigned every day. It is a review and practice of classroom goals and objectives. All homework will be reviewed and graded in class. Students who for whatever reason do not show improvement with the homework practice will be remediated immediately.
